Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, deliberately stepped back from daily operations to focus on what he does best: research and exploration. The move was designed to allow Buterin’s vision to flourish without being bogged down by crisis management or day-to-day admin tasks. 

And this newfound focus seems to be paying off. Buterin’s recent proposals are driving critical conversations about Ethereum’s core privacy, performance, and scaling challenges. 

Buterin’s Vision for Ethereum’s Future 

On April 11, Buterin introduced a privacy roadmap that aims to anonymize user transactions. Here’s the catch: instead of making privacy optional, Buterin proposed it should ideally be enabled by default. • User Experience Upgrades: Advancing interoperability (how different systems communicate) and simplifying user interactions through updates within Pectra, Fusaka, and Glamsterdam upgrades.
