For the record, we had NO hand in creating the meme coin, but watching the community rally around it has been an absolute blast.
History of Money Internet Thingys
In a video (right around the 20-minute mark) discussing crypto predictions for 2025, he refers to meme coins as Internet Money Thingys. Someone saw the video, felt inspired by it, and then went to the meme coin creation site on Solana, Pump.fun. and created a token.
In less than a week, the token had its own website, Telegram group, and a community on X.
The success and popularity caught The Dypto Crypto Team by surprise. Who wasn’t surprised? Meme coin HODLers.
Connection to Dypto Crypto
Dypto Crypto is a crypto education website with a specific audience. The vast majority of its users are brand new to the industry, with lots of new user questions. Peter and the rest of the team answer questions and generate content using plain language for users who are new to crypto and some who are new to investing in general.
The Dypto Crypto Team had nothing to do with the creation of Internet Money Thingys. However, they fully support it, as it has brought new users to the website. Many of them are eager to help in any way they can and have hyped up the website’s content on social media.
